BBC Music Magazine Award for “Billy Budd” DVD

The DVD / BD of Deborah Warner's “Billy Budd” (filmed at Teatro Real) receives the prestigious BBC Music Magazine “DVD Award”.

“The Billy Budd of the next decade” (BACHTRACK), “Sensational” (OPERA), “Brilliant” (OPERA NEWS), “Une référence” (FORUMOPERA.COM), “Magistral” (DIAPASON), “Fulgurant” (OPERA MAGAZINE), “Eccezionale” (IL CORRIERE MUSICALE), “Memorable”(EL PAIS) : after receiving strong critical acclaim for its depth and intelligence, Deborah Warner's praised and International-Opera-Award-Winning production of Benjamin Britten's “Billy Budd” (filmed at the Teatro Real - Madrid) received on 10 April at Kings Place, London (UK) the prestigious BBC Music Magazine “DVD Award”, in the presence of Deborah Warner, Jérémie Cuvillier (TV director), Xavier Dubois (TV producer), Natalia Camacho and Konstantin Petrowsky (from the Teatro Real) as well as many members of the original cast, at the time rehearsing for the reprisal of this magnificent production at the Royal Opera House of London.
