Avant Première '25 – 'Galaxy' live
Kendlinger’s GALAXY, op. 11a, explores humanity’s place in the cosmos—probing balance, connection, and existence with emotional depth.
Matthias Georg Kendlinger’s trio for piano, violin, and violoncello, GALAXY, op. 11a, is a compelling musical exploration of humanity’s place in the cosmos. It probes profound questions about equilibrium, the interconnectedness of all things, and the individual’s role in an as-yet-unexplored universe. Through its contrasting movements and richly textured harmonic language, the work encourages introspection and dialogue about existence, destiny, and the silent vastness beyond our world.
On 10 December, 2023, this thought-provoking piece was performed by Johannes Fleischmann (violin), Konstantin Manaev (violoncello), and Philipp Scheucher (piano) at the Haydn Festival in Schloss Rohrau—Joseph Haydn’s birthplace—where it was featured alongside works by Haydn, Humperdinck, and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
In a further testament to its artistic resonance, GALAXY was also presented live by the same trio at the Avant Première 2025, captivating an international audience with its emotional depth and contemporary relevance.
Open to new ventures, Kendlinger is ready to explore impactful collaborations.
