ARTE invites to “Summer of Dreams”
From 10 July to 23 August, ARTE presents the dream’s many facets in award-winning films, documentaries, star portraits as well as legendary concerts.
In a time where the corona crisis paralyzes the world’s society, the European culture TV channel ARTE backs on the liberating power of dreams and presents – besides a variety of multi-award-winning films and star portraits – a range of legendary concerts as well as music documentaries.
Portraits of the “dream pop”-band Coldplay, legendary Whitney Houston, the eccentric and elfin singer Kate Bush or the composer and musician Frank Zappa are just as much a part of the “Summer of Dreams” as concerts with musical dreamers like John Lennon or Simon and Garfunkel. ARTE presents the music film “Imagine” and Simon and Garfunkel’s 1981 reunion concert from Central Park in New York. Also on TV: The documentary “Simon and Garfunkel: Traumwandler des Pop” (The Harmony Game). Further concerts will feature Pink Floyd, Queen, Take That and Katy Perry.
Every Friday and Sunday on ARTE. Concerts and music documentaries will also be available online at arte.tv/summer for several weeks after the broadcast.
