ANNA NETREBKO & YUSIF EYVAZOV @ WALDBÜHNE 2017
Anna Netrebko returns to the Waldbühne! Together with her husband Yusif Eyvazov she performs popular arias and duets in a spectacular open air setting
Anna Netrebko is back at the Waldbühne Berlin! It was on this stage that the Russian star soprano made her open air debut in 2004. Ever since then, she has enjoyed fulminant successes in various summer nights’ concerts at the Waldbühne, alongside world stars like Plácido Domingo, Rolando Villazón and Jonas Kaufmann.
This year Anna Netrebko is back on stage with a popular repertoire containing the most beautiful arias and duets from Italian opera, as well as contemporary Russian love songs. Her partner on stage is also her partner in life: the internationally acclaimed Azerbaijani tenor Yusif Eyvazov. The two opera stars are accompanied by the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra under the baton of Italian conductor Michelangelo Mazza.
Netrebko’s and Eyvazov’s very first open air performance together features beloved arias, duets and orchestral pieces from operas such as Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Aida and Turandot. It is rounded off by several love songs recently written by the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, which perfectly blend in the joyful and romantic atmosphere of this musical summer night’s dream.
