A night at Le Concert Spirituel
Joseph Haydn, Jean-Chrétien Bach, Marie-Alexandre Guénin, Italian arias by Giuseppe Sarti and Giovanni Paisiello.
Throughout the eighteenth century, the Palais des Tuileries vibrated to the sound of concerts by Le Concert Spirituel or Le Concert de la Loge Olympique, two associations that have revolutionized the practice of concert. Among a great motet and an opera aria in vogue, symphonic and instrumental music is in the spotlight, especially that by Haydn, who had composed for Le Concert de la Loge Olympique the symphonies called "Parisian". Heirs of this tradition, Julien Chauvin, his orchestra and Sandrine Piau make this opulent musical time of the Louvre alive again.
