A Fond Farewell to Henk van der Meulen
The former IMZ President retired as principal of the Royal Conservatory The Hague after 14 years with a fantastic send-off.
A long-time fixture within the IMZ, Henk van der Meulen retired from his position as principal of the Royal Conservatory The Hague last month after 14 highly productive years amid a warm farewell ceremony with music, dance and speeches.
A former head of Music and Dance at NPS Netherlands Programme Service, he has been a tireless champion of performing arts education – both at his conservatory and within the IMZ Network, where he spent years on the board and served as both Vice-President and IMZ President. He was succeeded in his position as principal of the former by Lies Colman on 1 February.
Always happy to offer his time and expertise, Henk has been an invaluable part of the Royal Conservatory and the IMZ. The IMZ was proud to be present during this heartfelt farewell party, and thanks Henk for all his hard work on our behalf over the years; we can’t wait to see what he does next!
