ICMA Award presented to winners in Vaduz
The IMZ congratulates all ICMA 2021 winners on their awards at the Award Ceremony in Vaduz!
The ICMA Award Ceremony & Gala finally took place in Vaduz on 27 June. Presenting no less than 7 soloists, 3 conductors as well as the world premiere of Organic Beats by ICMA winner Ivan Boumans, the Award Ceremony and Gala Concert were streamed live for the first time in ICMA’s history. The programme, led by Yaron Traub, featured the winners of this year’s winner panel with an attractive musical program, accompanied by Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein. The event was followed by several hundred people at the Vaduzersaal and by thousands of viewers joining online.
The IMZ sincerely congratulate all ICMA 2021 Winners for receiving such a prestigious award. Special applause to the IMZ Members Berliner Philharmoniker for receiving the Recordings Label of the Year and to Drazen Domjanic, General Manager of the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein as well as founder + Manager of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein for the Special Achievement Award!
In his opening speech, ICMA President Remy Franck said "After the cancellation of our Award Gala in Seville in 2020, and the postponement of the Gala 2021 from April to end of June, we were overwhelmingly happy when it became a certainty that the June event was confirmed. We became part of that enormous upward movement that had taken hold of the cultural world, and the prospect of being able to organize this concert with so many artists was just terrific."
