The San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) is proud to celebrate its 16th year as a premier platform for groundbreaking dance films. Recognised as a leader in the field, SFDFF showcases the most innovative and thought-provoking works from dance filmmakers worldwide.

The 2025 Festival will take place 5–9 November in San Francisco, California, featuring in-person screenings, panels, live performances, and networking opportunities for industry professionals. Virtual programming will also be available via our streaming partner, MarqueeTV. Selected films will be eligible for independent jury awards.

SFDFF welcomes submissions from filmmakers, producers, and distributors across all budgets, dance forms, and genres. Categories include Art/Experimental, Documentary (Feature & Short), Live Performance Film, Narrative, Screendance, Student, and our new Music Video category.

Submissions are open through 16 April, with a late deadline of 8 May.
