Berlin Philharmonic Brass: LP “Frohe Weihnachten!”
0000: Celebrate an international Christmas with a newly released vinyl edition by Berliner Philharmoniker Recordings.
Everything glitters and sparkles, delicious aromas fill the air, and “O Christmas Tree” can be heard playing in the distance – Christmas is a feast that appeals to all the senses. Decorations and culinary preferences may be different around the world, but one thing always goes with Christmas: the radiant sound of brass instruments.
The repertoire of this vinyl edition is as international as the line-up of the Berlin Philharmonic Brass: with 17 Christmas songs personally selected by the musicians, it takes us on a journey from Europe to America and Australia. Joshua Davis’ arrangements – some traditional, others jazz-influenced, and still others new and surprising – guarantee festive sounds and captivating rhythms.
“Frohe Weihnachten!” is a project close to the hearts of the Berlin Philharmonic Brass and aims to bring joy to all music fans – and to send out a small gesture for peaceful coexistence in the world.
