ICMA International Classical Music Awards announce their 2023 Winners
See who won in the 26 categories of this prestigious annual award!
The results are in: on 18 January, the International Classical Music Awards announced the 26 winners of their 2023 edition! As Jury President Remy Franck put it, "The ICMA jury, international and independent, supports musical excellence and scrutinizes the global music industry to ultimately find the best of the best, thus getting the opportunity to show musicians’ talent and interpretive skills worldwide."
Selected from 391 submissions, the winners come from 14 different labels and feature several aspiring talents, including 20-year-olds Tassilo Probst and Maxim Lando, who emerged victorious in the highly-competitive Chamber Music category.
The winners will be honoured during an award ceremony at the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw, Poland, on 21 April. A Gala Concert will take place subsequently featuring several winners and the NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic conducted by Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero.
Congratulations to all the worthy recipients, and especially to our members: the 2023 Label of the Year, Naxos; Deutsche Grammophon, who won the Symphonic Music category; and Accentus Music, which took the Video: Performance and Documentaries category!
