The Berliner Philharmoniker live in cinemas
31 DEC 2025: The New Year’s Eve Concert with chief conductor Kirill Petrenko and star tenor Benjamin Bernheim
Enjoy the Berliner Philharmoniker’s New Year’s Eve Concert, the highlight of the season that is always sold out, live in the cinema – on the big screen and in the best surround sound. This year promises an emotional roller-coaster ride! Benjamin Bernheim – who the Süddeutsche Zeitung described as having the “most beautiful tenor voice since Luciano Pavarotti”, and who Le Monde said was “simply stunning” – presents famous lovelorn operatic heroes: Don José from Bizet’s “Carmen”, Lenski from Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin”, Massenet’s Werther, and Gounod’s Romeo. Kirill Petrenko and the Philharmoniker add touches of sunshine with Emmanuel Chabrier’s “España” and George Gershwin’s “Cuban Overture”.
Specialised video direction ensures you always have the best seat in the cinema. An entertaining and informative accompanying programme – skilfully presented in two languages by horn player Sarah Willis – also provides an exciting glimpse behind the scenes at the Philharmonie. Make sure you get your tickets for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve with your loved ones on 31 December at 17:00 CET – at a cinema near you!
