Grand opera on a small scale: Juan Diego Flórez approaches arias from the romantic repertoire as a series of free-standing pictures. This intimate and highly personal aria recital is dedicated to the memory of baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, who passed away in 2017.
Pianist Vincenzo Scalera creates dense orchestral colors and undertones, whether on Puccini's tender “Che gelida manina” or on Léhar's grand “Dein ist mein ganzes Herz”.
