Nurejev Gala 2017: a must-see for ballet lovers
The popular ballet gala will be broadcast live on the square.

For ballet lovers from all over Austria and abroad, the traditional Nurejev Gala at the end of the season has already become a favourite in the Vienna State Ballet’s programme. Ballet director Manuel Legris and his ensemble will perform a varied and diverse programme from the international world of dance with choreographies by Rudolf Nurejev, John Neumeier, George Balanchine, Edwaard Liang and many more. In the course of the evening, spectators will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of upcoming choreographies of the Vienna State Ballet, e.g. Peer Gynt.
The event can also be experienced for free on the square in front of the opera house where it will be broadcast on a video wall.
