The National Chamber Choir "Madrigal – Marin Constantin" arrived in Pompeii on 20 April 2026 to film the sixth episode of its multimedia series Contemporary Romanian Music in Universal Ancient Spaces. Set against the ruins preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius, the new episode is scored to "Arhaisme" by Sigismund Toduță, a score that reworks motifs of old Romanian music into a modern musical language. The director of the series is Emil Pantelimon.

Through the series, Madrigal stages a dialogue between Romanian music and landmark sites of world heritage, turning each location into a fresh context for encountering contemporary composition.

The five previous episodes were also filmed at UNESCO World Heritage sites, including:
Sarmizegetusa Regia (Romania)
Machu Picchu (Peru)
Pantheon, Rome (Italy)
Ancient city of Otrar (Kazakhstan)
Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida (Spain)

All five episodes are available now on the Madrigal Choir's official YouTube channel, with the Pompeii episode set to premiere there shortly.
