Live: Mozart Week 2020 on fidelio
02 FEB 2020: Mozart live – fidelio will cover this year’s Mozart week in Salzburg.
From 23 January until 2 February Mozart fans can experience around 50 events, including scenic projects, orchestral concerts, chamber music and dance with the Vienna Philharmonic, Daniel Barenboim, Sir András Schiff, Mitsuko Uchida, Mojca Erdmann and many more. Artistic director of the Mozart Week Rolando Villazón says “Our aim is to explore and present Mozart's incredibly wide-ranging output in all its variety. We are undertaking a journey together and immersing ourselves in Mozart’s world. In the course of this journey we may discover some wonderful treasures – I know this from my own personal experience. All aboard! Here we go!”
fidelio will cover selected highlights of the Mozart Week and will livestream “Pùnkitititi!”, a work specially conceived and created by artist Doug Fitch for the Salzburg Marionette Theatre with Mozart’s music for pantomime on 2 February.
