David Garrett Live in Verona
Enjoy cross-over violinist David Garrett in the unique atmosphere of the Verona Arena performing greatest hits ranging from Coldplay to Beethoven.
For more than ten years, star-violinist David Garrett’s crossover program of rock and pop songs mixed with classical music has thrilled a worldwide audience. 24 gold and 16 platinum awards stand for a special musical success story that leads the native of Aachen around the world. The “Unlimited” tour combines new songs, unplugged arrangements and Garrett’s greatest hits – played in front of the impressive historical backdrop of the Roman arena in Verona.
Garrett enchants his public with gripping interpretations of pop songs such as “Purple Rain” by Prince or Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Arrangements of classic pieces, such as Claude Debussy’s famous “Clair de Lune” or the scherzo of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony offer islands of calm and almost intimate moments. The star also shows his personal and relaxed side in interview clips on the tour bus, over coffee or during rehearsal breaks.
The concert will be broadcasted on ARTE on 10 May at 17:40, but is already available as a VOD on ARTE Concert (arte.tv/arte-concert) from 8 May on for 90 days.
