Accentus Music Productions On Screen
This September, Accentus Music presents a series of exceptional broadcasts from Schönberg to Bruckner on Arte, ZDF, ORF & SRF.
The list of Accentus broadcasts in September begins with Arnold Schönberg: The Restless Visionary, a documentary by Andreas Morell marking the 150th anniversary of the influential composer. The film vividly depicts Schönberg through rare archives and personal testimonies, revealing his complex personality, revolutionary influence, and lasting legacy.
Next, join us for a special Double Anniversary Concert at Monastery Basilica Saint Florian, celebrating Bruckner’s 200th birthday and conductor Herbert Blomstedt’s 97th birthday. Blomstedt leads the Bamberg Symphony in a powerful tribute to Bruckner at the basilica where his musical journey began and ended.
Later, experience the Lucerne Festival Orchestra under Riccardo Chailly with a remarkable Rachmaninoff performance, featuring young pianist Alexander Malofeev with the First Piano Concerto and the reflective Symphonic Dances.
Finally, don’t miss Christian Spuck’s ballet BOVARY, a fresh take on Flaubert’s classic novel. Spuck, now the artistic director of Staatsballett Berlin, transforms Emma Bovary’s tragic story into a visually stunning and emotionally intense production.
