This was the IMZ Academy Session at the Karajan Music Tech Online
This online IMZ Academy Session "Is anybody out there? Radical new ways to reach audiences in the performing arts" explored innovative projects on how to connect with audiences.
This IMZ Academy Session hosted by IMZ Academy Director Peter Maniura + Kay Meseberg (ARTE) in the course of the Karajan Music Tech Conference Online "Moving Music Forward" on 25 March 2021 shone a light on three very different but creative projects on how to connect with audiences.
- The projects presented were:
- Hope@Home by Arte,
- a portfolio of digital projects by Opera North in the UK,
- and Laila, a groundbreaking immersive installation by Finnish National Opera and Ballet and winner of the Fedora Digital Prize 2020.
By merging Professionalisation, Audience Development and Innovation, the panel hit the core themes of the industry and the IMZ.
Thanks to all expert speakers David Collins + Dominic Gray (Opera North), Lili Paasikivi + Annastina Haapasaari (Finnish National Opera and Ballet), Stefan Mathieu (Kobalt Productions) and star violinist Daniel Hope for sharing valuable insights on the latest developments in the field.
A special thanks goes to our valuable IMZ Member and Partner Karajan Institute for letting us host this session for the 4th year in a row!
