The internationally acclaimed Tetzlaff Quartett performs at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall with a programme dedicated to two pillars of the chamber music repertoire: Dvořák and Schubert. Renowned for the depth and intensity of its interpretations, the ensemble has established itself over the past three decades as one of the leading string quartets on the international scene.

Founded in 1994 by violinist Christian Tetzlaff and cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, the quartet is recognised for its rigorous musical approach, expressive precision and commitment to both classical and contemporary repertoire. Alongside violinist Elisabeth Kufferath and violist Hanna Weinmeister, the ensemble has appeared in major concert halls worldwide and received widespread critical acclaim for its recordings and live performances.

This programme explores the richness and emotional contrast of the string quartet tradition through the lyrical intensity of Dvořák and the introspective depth of Schubert. The ensemble’s highly detailed playing and strong collective identity bring renewed clarity and dramatic tension to these landmark works, balancing structural precision with expressive freedom.

Presented at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, one of Greece’s leading cultural venues, the concert highlights the enduring vitality of chamber music through the artistry of an ensemble celebrated for its uncompromising musical vision and exceptional interpretative cohesion.
