Seal plays Baloise Session
Winner of four Grammys with more than 30 million albums sold, Seal brings his jazz style to Basel and gives a magnetic performance at Baloise Session.
Seal, a voice capable of touching souls. With his powerful soulful-baritone voice, Seal has had a lasting impact on the music world. The starting signal for his impressive career was given in 1990, when he took the music scene by storm with the song Killer. However, it was his next big hit, Crazy, that finally made him a superstar. The song, which immediately went into the ear canals with its hypnotic melody and profound lyrics, became a worldwide success. Seal's mixture of soul, pop and electronic influences struck a chord with the times and brought a breath of fresh air into the music world of the early 90s. His debut album Seal cemented his status as one of the most extraordinary artists of this era. With over 30 million albums sold and four Grammy Awards, he has secured a permanent place among the greatest musicians of our time.
Despite the success, Seal's career has not been without its challenges. After years on stage and in the charts, he had to take a break for health reasons. This caesura allowed him to reorient himself and finally return with a surprising twist: he turned to jazz. With this musical realignment, Seal showed a new facet of his artistic diversity and continued his tradition of crossing genre boundaries and surprising his fans with new sounds.
