What better venue for this exceptional event than Salzburg’s Felsenreitschule, originally built for equestrian displays and animal baiting events in 1693. In his last season as artistic director Marc Minkowski brings back the French rider and theatre director Bartabas with his team and noble horses from the Académie équestre de Versailles. After the stunning success of their first appearance at the Mozart Week 2015 they return to Salzburg to present one of the most popular and at the same time most profound and sublime creations by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a new scenic context: the Requiem, sung by the Salzburg Bach Choir, the soloists Genia Kühmeier, Elisabeth Kulmann, Julien Behr and Charles Dekeyser together with Les Musiciens du Louvre under the baton of Marc Minkowski.

A production of BFMI for ARTE, ORF and UNITEL.
