From the spectacular lake stage to the Festspielhaus, Unitel blue captured two highlights of the Bregenz Festival 2026: Verdi’s La Traviata and Janáček’s rarely performed The Excursions of Mr. Brouček.

La Traviata, the production on the lake, staged by Damiano Michieletto, has already proved a success across platforms. Nearly 200,000 spectators experienced the production live in Bregenz, while its television broadcast in Germany and Austria alone has reached more than one million viewers, achieving audience shares of over 10%. Produced by Unitel blue in co-production with ORF, ZDF and NHK and captured in UHD HDR, the production is now continuing its international journey, with its first cinema screenings already underway. Critics praised a production that combines “spectacle with authentic theatrical intensity”, while Opéra Magazine called its powerful visual concept a “technical tour de force”.

Alongside this audience favourite, Unitel blue also recorded Janáček’s rarely performed The Excursions of Mr. Brouček, staged by Yuval Sharon and conducted by Robert Jindra.

Two very different operas, two distinctive Bregenz productions – available for alle media for audiences around the world.
