It was in Pesaro, at the Rossini Opera Festival, that Juan Diego Flórez celebrated his sensational breakthrough in 1996: stepping in at short notice as a replacement in the demanding role of Corradino in Gioachino Rossini's opera Matilde di Shabran, he took audiences and critics alike by storm.

Since that debut, Juan Diego Flórez has been one of the world's leading tenors. For his anniversary concert, Flórez presents a programme honouring the highlights of his impressive career and his outstanding Rossini repertoire — a virtuoso showcase featuring works by other important composers from Flórez's career, ranging from Gaetano Donizetti to Jacques Offenbach.

The concert's musical direction is in the hands of Iván López Reynoso. The Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Coro del Teatro Ventidio Basso perform.

This anniversary concert promises both highlights of the art of bel canto and an emotional tribute to an artist whose name has become synonymous with vocal elegance, stylistic refinement, and thrilling high notes.

An unforgettable evening full of bel canto magic!

"One could listen to him again and again, because behind every feat, every variation, every high note, there is a generous artist who knows how to move you, giving each and every note its own meaning." Opera Libera
