The exclusive documentary “Jonas Kaufmann – a global star in private” shows the opera singer “behind the curtain” up close in his home in beautiful Bavaria. When Jonas Kaufmann is not on tour, he spends his free time there with his wife, the opera director Christiane Lutz and his four children. Music also finds its place in his private rooms and the opera singer uses the domestic inspiration for new productions. His constant companions, musical advisor Thomas Voigt and song accompanist Helmut Deutsch, are often seen as house guests and shape the film with personal impressions of Jonas Kaufmann’s impressive career, from the beginning of his career to his international success story. His longtime friends Alexander Klaus-Stecher and Judith Williams are also part of the documentary “Jonas Kaufmann – a global star in private” and will be chatting away during lunch and the subsequent bowls at Kaufmann’s house.
