ABC Commercial has increased its blue-chip slate leading into market season with Inside the Sydney Opera House, a 3-part ob-doc series going behind the scenes to look at what it takes to run the one of the world’s busiest performing arts precincts.
For the first time in its glittering history, the majestic, world-famous Sydney Opera House has opened its doors to cameras that capture colourful characters, tense daily deadlines, endless surprises and unfolding drama that audiences never usually see. Produced by Barking Mad Productions and Fremantle Australia, Executive Producers Steve Bibb and Chris Oliver-Taylor promise Inside the Sydney Opera House (HD 3x60’) will be a special treat.
Rounding out the slate is And We Danced (HD 3x60’), which traces sixty dramatic years of The Australian Ballet’s journey from inception to world-class Company, Finding the Archibald (HD 3x60’), sees Art lover and actor Rachel Griffiths navigate the centenary of Australia’s most coveted and controversial arts prize, and Going Country (HD2x60’), which explores the genre and its position at the cutting edge of the social and cultural zeitgeist.
Finally, Getting Their Acts Together (HD 1x60’) follows joint Adelaide Festival artistic directors Neil Armfield and Rachel Healy in their most challenging year, as they scour the globe for the world’s best live performance acts.
