How Wide Is The Reach of Audiovisual Classical Music?
The first edition of the IMZ Industry Report seeks to answer this question using aggregated data from 24 broadcasters across 16 countries.
The new IMZ Industry Report – The Reach of Audiovisual Classical Music in Europe and Beyond is the first comprehensive report, to measure the reach of the audiovisual performing arts industry, with a particular focus on classical music.
Drawing on data from the 2024 reporting year, the report identifies key trends in the distribution and consumption of classical music content across Europe and beyond. It offers insights into how broadcasters are sharing performing arts content, watching habits of audiences, sources of concert programmes and more.
For an industry that sits at the intersection of culture, broadcasting and digital media, having reliable data is increasingly important. The report provides a valuable evidence base for understanding where the sector stands today and demonstrates the position of classical music within the broader cultural broadcasting landscape.
