IMZ @Golden Prague: A Grand Time on the Vlatava!
The 59th edition of Czech Television's International Festival saw numerous events featuring your favourite global business network!
A frequent guest in previous years, the IMZ was once again proud to contribute to the Golden Prague International Television Festival 2022!
We welcomed the IMZ Board Elect for 2023-25 for an inaugural meeting alongside the outgoing board for a frank and insightful discussion of the issues surrounding our industry, while also electing a new Directorate for the upcoming term – more on that upon the new board's formal confirmation in February 2023!
We also greatly enjoyed the Fedora Platform's grand announcement of the nominees for its Prizes Biennale: the IMZ is a proud Expert Partner for its Digital Prize, which encourages artists to harness the digital and explore new forms of expression and storytelling while reaching new audiences. Learn more about the nominees here; we wish them the best of luck for their crowdfunding programmes!
Our joint panel with the EBU European Broadcasting Union was another high point, exploring “Sustainability + Classical Music TV” and featuring experts from the EBU, London Symphony Orchestra, KlimAktiv, NRK, RTP and SVT – learn more here!
Finally, we took great pride in joining the EBU to present celebrated soprano and conductor Barbara Hannigan with the 2022 EBU-IMZ Outstanding Achievement Award! Hannigan has been hailed as a champion of contemporary music and a tireless supporter of the upcoming generation of musicians; it was truly a pleasure to honour one of the foremost artists of our time! Learn more here!
Once again, the IMZ can look back on a highly productive – and highly enjoyable – Golden Prague! As always, it was a pleasure to meet representatives from the entire broadcasting industry, showing just how valuable such major annual festival are for the performing arts and audiovisual sectors! We look forward to next year's 60th Edition!
