It is now a well-established tradition: every year, on 14 July, the Orchestre National de France welcomes the summer with a large musical gathering at the foot of the Eiffel Tower with stunning fireworks. Conducted by Eun Sun Kim, and accompanied by the Chorus of Radio France, the orchestra invites the audience around the world and 44,500 people on the spot to experience great arias and famous concert pieces.
The concert will feature prestigious soloists like Sol Gabetta, Sonya Yoncheva, Lisa Batiashvili, Ludovic Tézier, Khatia Buniatishvili, Fatma Said, Benjamin Bernheim and Lucienne Renaudin Vary. Popular works/excerpts will be included, such as Verdi: Il Trovatore Mira di acerbe lagrime (Yoncheva & Tézier), Chaplin: City Memories (Batiashvili), Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No. 2 (1 movement) (Gabetta), Bernstein: West Side Story: I feel pretty (Renaudin Vary), Ravel: Le Boléro (including Dance performance) and many more!
