"Die Fledermaus" from the Bayerische Staatsoper, starring Diana Damrau and Georg Nigl and conducted by Vladimir Jurowski, offers a fresh perspective on the classic operetta. Directed by Barrie Kosky, this production highlights the morbid aspects of the story, set in Vienna where the operetta first premiered in 1874.
