Accentus Music at Opernhaus Zürich
This June, Accentus will return to the Opernhaus Zürich to film Spuck’s choreography of “Romeo and Juliet” and Homoki’s staging of Verdi’s “Nabucco”.
Sergei Prokofiev
Romeo and Juliet
Ballet by Christian Spuck
Christian Spuck’s choreography has been celebrated in Zurich and in guest performances abroad. Inspired by Prokofiev’s vivid music and the timeless quality of Shakespeare’s tragedy, the choreographer narrates the most famous love story in world literature using strong images that are full of enthralling theatricality and touching emotion. Michail Jurowski, a true Prokofiev expert, will be at the rostrum of the Philharmonia Zürich.
Spuck’s choreography will be this year’s “Ballett für Alle” event in front of the Opernhaus, produced by Accentus Music. Its recording will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in 2020.
