Tiny House Concert - Streaming Now
Tiny House Concert - the new classical format for beginners and devotees is streaming now on ARD Kultur and in the ARD Mediathek.
Steven Walter, Artistic Director of Beethovenfest Bonn, and Coco Elane, artist and staunch “classical dropout”, welcome us to the Tiny House Concert series. In the kitchen of Steven’s actual tiny house in the green surroundings of Bonn, the pair play host to stars of the international music scene. As well as their favourite recipes, the visitors also bring along their instruments to play, and they speak plainly about their experiences in the world of classical music: as a child prodigy at the piano, a lover of punk rock at a prestigious music academy, or a creative high-flyer in a traditional orchestra.
And while the sun sets outside, there’s spirited conversation and top-quality live music inside, as well as more than a few surprising moments. For example, do you know how to use plasticine to change the sound of a piano? Have you heard that Johann Sebastian Bach and Miles Davis may well have been the perfect jam session duo? And why is clapping between the movements of a concert sometimes greeted with angry hissing from the audience?
Tiny House Concert – the new classical format for beginners and devotees is streaming now on ARD Kultur, the ARD Mediathek and the YouTube-Channel “DW Classical Music”.
