IMZ Academy in Lisbon: Getting ready for Inspiration and Transformation!
The IMZ Academy is set to once again ignite the next generation of music and media filming in the picturesque city of Lisbon.
The IMZ Academy Workshop "Live Multi-Camera Directing in Classical Music" will take place from 7 to 11 November. Marking a key moment for everyone involved, the IMZ Academy Worksop will be a recognition of their dedication and commitment to mastering the art of music and media in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Risto Joost, Conductor
The young Estonian conductor and trained singer Risto Joost, currently in Residence of the Estonian National Opera, has already held major artistic positions, such as Chief Conductor of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Artistic Director of the MDR Leipzig Radio Choir from 2015 to 2019.
Alexandra Dovgan, Pianist
The young piano prodigy joined the Academic Central Music School of Moscow when she was just five years old, and has already played in some of the most prestigious concert halls worldwide, including the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Salzburg Festival..
Gulbenkian Orchestra
The renowned Orquestra Gulbenkian performs regularly at the Gulbenkian Grand Auditorium in Lisbon, as well as numerous locations all over Portugal, in an effort to decentralize music and culture. The orchestra is constantly expanding its activities on the international level, performing in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
Peter Maniura, Freelance Director + Digital Strategist
Peter is an award-winning TV producer and director with over 25 years in music and arts broadcasting, formerly at the BBC and the EBU. At the BBC he was, among other things, Project Director, Classical Archive and Orchestras Digital Strategy for BBC Music, opening up the BBC’s unique music archive to the public in new ways.
Krišs Russman, EMMY-nominated multi-camera Director + Filmmaker
Krišs is an EMMY-nominated, Royal Television Society (RTS) award-winning documentary and multi-camera director specialising in classical music broadcasts and recordings. He has made over 30 documentaries and filmed over 150 performances for major broadcasters worldwide.
Yvonne Craven, Script Supervisor/Tutor
Yvonne is an experienced script supervisor and production manager. She specialises in a wide range of multi-camera music, event + entertainment programmes including live broadcasts. She is the Lead Tutor of the script supervisor training course in continuity and television skills at the UK National Film & Television School.
One of the highlights of the IMZ Academy will be an exclusive interview with the esteemed maestro and frequently recorded artist, Risto Joost. He will share insights to his music with our participants, answering the questions of IMZ Academy Director Peter Maniura and the audience. These hands-on interactions offer a unique and enriching learning experience, wherein the artist's insights will serve as a source of inspiration for participants, allowing them to approach their filmmaking endeavours from the artist's unique perspective.
