Willy Decker's highly acclaimed production with Klaus Florian Vogt, Camilla Nylund and Adrian Eröd under the baton of Mikko Franck. The Staatskapelle and Christian Thielemann will present a bouquet of cheerful melodies and Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with Nikolaj Znaider. With more than 50 years of experience as film director Peter Greenaway combines the worlds of film and opera with an all new approach to Verdi’s work. A scenic ballet and opera production, filmed by Accentus Music in co-production with Arte G.E.I.E., NHK, and SRF; to be broadcast on arte in December 2016 Donizetti's La Favorite opens season in new production with outstanding belcanto singers incl. Elina Garanca, Matthew Polenzani and Mariusz Kwiecien.
Anna Netrebko is awarded with the ECHO KLASSIK for her performance of Lady Macbeth in the Met live in HD production of Verdi's Shakespearean drama. We are very happy to announce that two outstanding films from Claus Wischmann and Holger Preusse won at the Golden Prague 2016.
From the Royal Albert Hall: Simon Rattle conducts Mahler's Seventh Symphony. Will Tuckett’s opulent full-length work fuses dance, music and theatre in its exploration of the life and loves of Queen Elizabeth I.
